Description

I can't tell you how glad I am that I got at least ONE good photo of the omniblade! I mean it's transparent, it's the right color and I designed the structure as best as I could... but in 9/10 photos it looks like I slapped orange cardstock on my arm. Just judge it by this photo and not the others, kay?

This was my third time wearing the N7 armor, but for this convention I upgraded the lights in my back to EL wire and debuted the omniblade. It went super well! Usually a clasp will break or something, but it all held up for the nine hours I was wearing it. I didn't get any f'real photoshoots unfortunately, but I got plenty of photos in general NOT TO MENTION I got to be in another of Mamuro5254's music videos! Three years ago he filmed me in as Milla Maxwell and I loved the video so much I still watch it occasionally. To be completely honest, I saw him filming someone nearby and I kind of... loitered around until he noticed and asked me. So I sorta wedged my way into it by being super awkward, but hey it worked! Try it yourself!

So... it's been about a year since I built this and it's been through a full year of conventions. I should probably start making something new. Ugh, just thinking about all the cutting and gluing and sanding (the SANDING) makes starting another set of armor less enticing. But this was the first and only cosplay I've done involving armor, so imagine what I can do with the next few projects.

I was thinking about making the Zora Armor from Twilight Princess, Windblade from Transformers IDW or.. I don't know. I need ideas, if you have (reasonable and preferably armor-related) suggestions let me know!
